February 2009, Xin Min Daily News Singapore:
Master Sanna held a Feng Shui tour of a few buildings in Singapore on the 8th of February 2009 and it was reported in the Xin Min Daily News the following day. The tour started in the Sanna Holistic House with Master Sanna sharing about the highlights of his 10 years of experience in his research on urban landform and buildings, in which a daily routine was to spend almost 4 hours each day to conduct Feng Shui audits on buildings in different parts of Singapore. He told the participants that Feng Shui is a study and a subject that requires research and analysis of how a building is affected by its design and environment.
Master Sanna then explained the basic elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, and how different building shapes and colors could be assigned to these elements. Once the basics were covered, Master Sanna led the 15-men group on an exciting Feng Shui journey filled with adventure and discovery. Stopping at Novena Square, Master Sanna pointed out to the group that its structure had a large top but narrowed down as it reached the ground, thus causing issues with its flow of qi. He mentioned that Novena Square had implemented Feng Shui interventions as they introduced a wave-like design (corresponding to the Water element) to negate the original flaws in order to improve their business. Furthermore, the adjoining Velocity had shifted its main door from facing left to facing the cross-junction in a bid to improve the human traffic. Master Sanna also pointed out to the group that the big open area leading from the cross-junction to the main door allowed both buildings to tap on an unlimited potential in growth. True enough, the business in both shopping centres had picked up since the Feng Shui alterations were completed in late 2006.
The next stop was at the junction of Orchard Road and Scotts Road. Four prominent buildings could be seen from one of the busiest roads in Singapore – CK Tang, Shaw Centre, Wheelock Place, and the up-and-coming Ion. Master Sanna unravelled the mystery behind the ordinary every-day objects that could be found at some of these buildings. He started by saying that Wheelock Place had a Fire shape and was pointing towards CK Tang, which in Feng Shui terms it formed a kind of malefic qi that was directed at CK Tang’s main entrance. CK Tang responded by placing two big earthen jars at its front entrance to absorb this malefic qi. Wheelock Place’s business dwindled after CK Tang made the Feng Shui interventions, and the former’s business only picked up after the big bookselling company Borders moved in (as books signified Wood, which fed the Fire design of Wheelock Place). He then pointed out that the two clock towers at the sides of Shaw Centre were good implementations that would deflect malefic qi coming from both CK Tang and Wheelock Place respectively. Finally, Master Sanna analysed that Ion would be the place with the best business when it is completed as it had a wave-like roof that absorbs auspicious qi.
The third building the group visited was the Parkview Square situated in the Bugis area. Master Sanna observed that the building utilized the authentic San Yuan Water Method at the building’s rear to deflect malefic qi that came from the Gateway Towers. By placing a water feature at its rear, Parkview Square deflected the malefic qi brought by raging winds. In addition, Parkview Square also placed a Golden Crane at its front to signify that its occupants enjoyed prosperity and abundance.
Master Sanna then brought the group to the Capital Tower on Robinson Road and remarked that the Feng Shui design of this building and its environment was formidable. He revealed that the design of its roof looked like the officials’ cap of ancient China and it helped to attract promising talents into the big names that occupied the building. |
